echoes from the catacombs

catacombs first full lenght ("in the depths of r´lyeh") will finally be released, after the debut mini cd self released in 2002 and re-released last year in an extremelly limited edition by antinomian/blackmetal.com records.the new offering will continue catacombs unique sound and will be even more atmospheric and diverse in its composition, keeping all its extreme crushing heaviness. there is even a new version of an old hierophant track ("where no light hath shone... but for that of the moon"), included not as a normal "cover" but because it fits the whole concept of the album. it will be released during early 2006 by moribund records.

fukked up and eternally doomed

british extreme doomsters moss will release their first full lenght on 28th november. entitled "chtonic rites" in homage to the mighty hellhammer, the album will contain two tracks ("crypts of somnambulance" and "the gate") and will be released by aurora borealis. the CD was produced by jus oborn of the legendary british stoner band electric wizard, early this year, at chuckalumba studio. a limited vinyl version of "chtonic rites" will be later released by comaworx.
further projects concerning moss include the release of a split 7EP with irish band serpents still during this year, and a split 12LP with french extreme sludge doomsters monarch, scheduled for the summer of 2006.

This is just a little tribute to one of the great bluesmen of our time. It's been a month now that R.L. Burnside past away (November 21, 1926 - September 1, 2005).

Achei por bem o primeiro post começar com um nome que figura nos favoritos de quem vos escreve. 2 anos depois da sua morte, Johnny Cash tem direito a filme biográfico, que se chama - previsivelmente - Walk The Line. Com Joaquin Phoenix e Reese Witherspoon nos papéis principais, o filme chega à Europa em Janeiro.
